1) Why does my computer start to slow down after a couple of months of use?

The system registry tends to start getting confused with all the writes and deletes over a period of time.  The hard drive tends to lose its capacity to understand the filing structure thus requiring a defragmentation.  Viruses, Malware, Trojans, and root kits will embed themselves in the Operating system and start to take control of certain functions.  These are some reasons why system require maintenance / repairs.

2)  Why does the computer seem so slow when I am on the internet.

Generally, when you are on the internet and perusing multiple sites, you are utilizing other users servers,  when many connections are attempting to acquire info from these servers, the connecting computers seem to slow down, however the only issue is that the server that all are connected to is getting bogged down,  try other websites or attempt to peruse the Webb during off peak hours.

3)  Is it worth fixing a computer / laptop that is old.

Our definition of old is any system that is still utilizing Vista or XP Operating systems, exceeding 3 years of life, has anything less than a Core 2 Duo processor and 2 gb of RAM.  Ultimately, the current pricing structure of new systems and the technology available for that price makes it more economical to purchase a updated system vice fixing the old systems.  There are exceptions to this rule however.

4)  Can a printer be repaired.

a.       Printers are generally known to be a consumable item in today’s market.  Many people purchased printers that where priced high and they can be repaired, however be ready to pay fairly high for the parts and labor.
